Happy Wednesday!!!

My Purpose :: Well we are headed on a road trip today!!! First of all we are meeting a contractor in the morning at the new house, then getting a few things done before we hit the road around noon! Looking forward to dinner in Santa Barbara and a night on the town in Solvang.  Although the whole trip won’t be so pleasant one as we are going to a memorial service on Friday in Monterey.

My Inspiration :: This dress seems to be my go to dress the last trip, so I decided to start off this trip with it.  Ease and comfort are two great ways to think of clothes when you are traveling, and the dress fits the bill.  It is comfy enough to be in the car for hours and then be able to jump out and go to a nice dinner.  Pairing the dress with this denim jacket makes it easy for me to have a jacket with me just in case it gets a bit chilly.  Choose Everyday to Dress With Purpose!!!

Jacket :: Denim Jacket – GAP – Goodwill ($5.99)

Dress :: 3/4 length t-shirt black with white strip dress – Forever 21 ($17.80)

Shoes :: Black gladiator inspired sandals – Montego Bay Club – Payless ($12.49, BOGO)

Purse :: Dark tan, faux leather tote with tassel detail – Bueno – Ross ($22.99)

Accessories ::  Bracelets ($2.99) – New York & Company :: Necklace ($8.67) – Macy’s :: Sunglasses ($5.99) – Ross :: Earrings (Gift) :: Watch (Gift) – Anne Klein – Macy’s

Here is how I was inspired by this dress and jacket before…

  1. I love this look, Manda! I’ve been looking out for a striped dress, but I want knee-length and that’s been hard to find at my height (5’10”). You look great! I hope you have a wonderful trip.

  2. So sorry the trip is planned for a sad occasion but I hope you enjoy those wonderful places you’ll be visiting–some of my favorites as well. Maybe the memorial service will put you in an extra appreciative frame of mind. The jean jacket will go with a lot–love it! Be sure and share what you wear to the service if you can–I’ve noticed lots of ladies don’t know how to dress for the solemn occasion!
